Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. driving towards the lodge is a stunning drive. arriving in this paradise valley completes the journey. We were dearly welcomed and felt at ease right away. A dip in the pool got rid of the dust from the drive. a large pool good for some lanes in the morning. We stayed at a cottage. it’s all well equipped. a strong AC will get it cool. although it was very comfortable end of afternoon. the night was cool so windows open and natural AC came in. we took a tour and David showed us some awesome spots. including a view on the giraffes. breakfast afterwards was a real treat. we left feeling like completely spoiled. which we were. it’s hard to compare this to many a standard. it was a 5 star-plus-turbo-A stay. With mountain views, Bosch Luys Kloof Nature Reserve is located 56 km from Ladismith and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace. The host was fantastic! He was friendly and very helpful, the nature guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable, and the food and wine choices were excellent.

Offering a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the Rooiberg Mountain range, Watermill Farm Cottages is located 3 km from the village of Van Wyksdorp in the Western Cape Region. The scenery was stunning. The walks around the farm were good. There is also a easy walk into VanWyks Dorp The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional. I loved my stay . Rustic and charming.

We were on a 22 days road trip over the Dec 2023 Jan 2024. We spent our Christmas at Sipreslaan. This place was amazing. The cottage was extremely well maintained. The vineyard and the mountains are breathtaking. I watched TV and Towerkop Mountain at the same time.

Set in the countryside, Koedoeskloof Guesthouse is located 9 km away from Ladismith. This guest house boasts views of the surrounding landscapes and mountains. Excellent hosts and good healthy meals. Comfortable bed and very clean room.

Just a 5-minute drive from the Route 62 and close to the Touws River, Wolverfontein Karoo Cottages offers a garden, sun terrace and free Wi-Fi and private parking. An amazing gem where I could rest, enjoy nature and just take just take a break! I could also work from there which was an added bonus!

Located in Ladismith, in a valley amongst wine lands, Mymering Wine & Guest Estate has luxurious rooms some with a fireplace. The property features an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities. A wonderful place to stay, lovely staff, great food and wine, a comfortable room and owners who are interesting and interested. You could not ask for more.
