Buffet breakfast was good, but amount of food on the buffet was allowed to run out. No one seemed to be checking and we had to ask for more sausages and bacon to be laid out. By the time they arrived, I had finished eating. Small thing, but important, to me at least.

The highlight of Knysna is that it encompass a variety of activities and adventures. Majority of the resturants we visited provided very good service and amazing seafood 🦐
Myself and my partner particularly enjoyed the boat ride on a 40 ft Catameran from Ocean Sailing Charters ⛵️, which came after a wild Ziplining experience. The Knysna Heads should definitely be visited for the scenic mountain and ocean views 🏞. A wonderful walk on the wild side feeding elephants, was another major highlight 🐘 ❤️
The icing on the cake was a young detour in Plettenberg Bay for a romantic date on the beach 💙🌊🥂 I would definitely recommend this dose of peace, serenity and absolute bliss 🌍

A very chilled place - just very serene place to go. It can be a little expensive for the type of food offered in several restaurants - price doesn't really match portion of menu.
The people are friendly, there's a few activities to do if you're adventurous.
It's a great place to stop-over for a couple of nights and then continue with your journey.
The Waterfront is very lovely. I suggest you there.
The Mall is also great for shopping - don't get lost though because there's about 4 mall/square areas.

If you are planning a trip along the garden route then Knysna is a must visit spot. The views across the lagoon and the Knysna Heads are amazing and so many options for accommodation from camping by the lagoon to 5* hotels.
It is also a good base to explore the Eastern end on the garden route right up to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
There is also a number of fantastic mountain passes to drive up to the Karoo, but make sure you have a good vehicle and a good head for heights. Knysna is fantastic and well worth a visit.

As a place to stay, Knysna is rather small, and moreover less secure after dark than other places. Knysna and its islands/view points can e.g. easily be visited from Plettenberg where there is much more choice in terms of restaurants. 1 day is more than enough for Knysna.
The Private Estate, Lagoon Apartment is a lovely place in the Countryside to dicover Knysna, Lagoon islands, the Heads and the pearls on the near Indian Ocean coast Brenton-On-Sea and Buffels Bay. The apartment is light in a beautiful in white style with pritty details, and has a small patio with a view into the Garden. Ohne must emphasize the pleasant and cordial hospitality , and, last not least, a perfect and sensible organization.
This is a handsome property in Knysna with exceptionally friendly hosts in Ron & Louise. The view of the lagoon and heads from the balcony is spectacular. The rooms are comfortable & well-appointed and the breakfast was great. We recommend this Guesthouse to anyone looking for a stopover in Knysna, whether a 1-nighter or a longer stay. The view alone will bring you back for more!
Beautiful spacious rooms, lovely furnishing.superb bathroom and patio overlooking Knysna lagoon. Very convenient for exploring the area and the view was stunning. Hosts Marion and Gavin went over and above waiting for our missing luggage and chasing up our change of hire car. We cannot thank them enough. Breakfasts at Waterfront Lodge were excellent.
the units are beautiful spacious and provide everything you need to make your stay comfortable. i like that you have the self catering and hotel restaurant option. the gym sauna and heated indoor pool is just a big bonus and i loved spending time there. breakfast is amazing good quality and fresh with lots of variety.
This property is first class in all respects. It is spacious, very well-appointed & extremely well-equipped. The beds are excellent. The location is tranquil and secure, yet only a stroll of five minutes from the shops and restaurants on the Knysna Quays Waterfront. The house also has its own integral garage.
The St. James is a unique and extraordinary hotel in a nice location. The really good breakfast was freshly prepared and served. No dinner option at the moment. But plenty of restaurants around. Very spacious and nicely equipped rooms. Recommend to drive around the lagoon and visit Brenton-on-Sea!
Lagoona Inn is very central within Knysna, close to the 2 Heads and also close to the latest restaurants. The beds were very comfortable and had a great view over a pool and then lagoon. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome and the overall stay was great value for money!
Breakfast was great. The hotel was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had everything I needed, coffee and tea facilities, a great location near Knysna waterfront, and other restaurants. The art and colourful decor were very much appreciated and enjoyed.
Good location, despite a very busy main street. It is at close walking distance of Knysna Waterfront with lots of restaurants and bars. Parking for car is big and secured. Hotel and rooms are clean. Breakfast was ok. It is more a hotel catered for groups.
The staff are extremely friendly and they will go the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable. The breakfast is good. The hotel is well kept and clean. The location is fantastic we had the west view room where you can see the Knysna heads perfectly.
Such a beautiful and tranquil spot on the lagoon just by the Knysna heads. Spending the morning boarding was a bonus. Chalets are clean and well stocked. Very impressed with the unit. Thank you.
The hotel is located a few minutes away from the knysna waterfront which is very convinient. The hotel and rooms have modern finishes. The staff were very friendly and made our stay comfortable.
Breakfast is over the top.
