Just an incredible hotel, I didn't want to leave. The quality of the rooms is amazing (I stayed in a room off the train and inside it was actually even better than the carriages - only missed out on the view and novelty). Food was also fantastic and service very friendly. The pool/bar area is a breathtaking place with constant hippo views while we were there and fantastic bar service. The best thing was the game drives - Sizwe was the best, charismatic and took time to show us stuff he knew we'd be interested in.

The location is where it should be- in the bush..its hard to say what we didn't like as that would suggest there's something we didn't like. Before coming to Kruger, we had seen some animals in Chobe and on our first day here, we collected big five, which we were quite satisfied with. But the next morning Safari collected big five at once, and the luckiest thing was to see a group of five lions, who were located on the border of their private territory. I sincerely recommend the highly cost-effective Umkumbe bush lodge, and I believe I will always remember the beautiful memories here.
